Mawe Takyi is founder and managing partner of Asempa Wealth Advisors. Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Mawe graduated from Louisiana State University with a BA in Economics and a minor in Political Science. In 2003, he began as a financial analyst and eventually wealth advisor and financial planner for a Baton Rouge wealth management firm. Mawe holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation. In two decades as a wealth advisor, Mawe has helped families achieve long term financial goals as well as executives and small business owners plan for their retirement. He is a Past President (2022) of The Rotary Club of Baton Rouge. Mawe serves on the boards of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, where he chairs the Professional Affairs Committee and The Rotary Club of Baton Rouge. He is a facilitator for the 100 Black Men of Baton Rouge “Dollars and $ense” program and has been recognized as one of the Baton Rouge Business Report’s “Top 40 Under 40.” A soccer enthusiast, Mawe and his wife Jeanne reside in Baton Rouge and are the parents of two children, Philip and Vivienne.
